1. General

These terms apply to your use of the website valaselection.se and to purchases of goods from Vala Selection AB, Torsplan 8, 113 65 Stockholm, Sweden.

By visiting the website or making a purchase, you accept these terms.

The website is primarily intended for consumers. Businesses are welcome to shop, but unless otherwise agreed in writing, these terms also apply to business customers. Provisions arising from mandatory consumer protection legislation apply only to consumers.

Terms for delivery and for the right of withdrawal, returns and complaints are set out in more detail in our Shipping Policy and Return and Refund Policy. Our Purchase Options Cancellation Policy also applies to subscriptions and pre-orders.

We reserve the right to update these terms. The version published on the website at the time of your order applies to the purchase.

2. Order and contract

When you place an order, you make an offer to purchase. A binding contract is formed when we send an order confirmation to the email address you provided.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order in the event of, for example, insufficient stock, obvious pricing or typographical errors, or suspected misuse. If your order cannot be completed, we will notify you and refund any amount paid.

3. Prices and payment

All prices are stated in Swedish kronor (SEK), including VAT. Any shipping cost is stated before the order is completed.

Payment is made using the payment options offered at checkout at the relevant time, including cards, Klarna and Swish through Shopify Payments.

We reserve the right to change prices. Price changes never affect orders that have already been confirmed.

4. Use of the website

You may only use the website in accordance with applicable law.

You may not:

Use the website for unlawful purposes
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems or data
Distribute malicious code or disrupt the operation of the website
Collect or process personal data without permission
Copy, reproduce or use content commercially without our written approval

We reserve the right to restrict or suspend access to the website in the event of misuse.

5. Intellectual property rights

All content on the website, including text, product descriptions, images, graphic design, logos and trademarks, belongs to Vala Selection AB or is used with permission.

The content may not be copied, distributed or used without our written approval.

6. Product information

Information on the website is published with the aim of being accurate and up to date. We reserve the right to correct any typographical, pricing or technical errors.

Because our products are natural foods, variations in colour and flavour may occur between harvests. Such variations do not constitute a defect in the goods.

7. Reviews and user-generated content

By publishing reviews, comments or other content on the website, you confirm that:

You have the right to publish the content
The content does not violate the law or third-party rights

You grant Vala Selection AB a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to display and publish the content in connection with our products and services.

We only publish reviews from people who have actually used or purchased the product, and we reserve the right to remove content deemed unlawful, offensive or inappropriate.

8. Use of customer images and social media

If you tag @valaselection or use our hashtag, we may ask for permission to share your content in our digital channels.

Publication only takes place after you have given your consent. We state your username where possible.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us.

9. Third-party links

The website may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the content of such websites or for damage arising from their use.

10. Availability and technical disruptions

We aim to make the website available without interruption but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

We are not responsible for technical disruptions or interruptions beyond our control.

11. Limitation of liability

We are liable in accordance with mandatory law.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential damage arising from use of the website, unless otherwise required by mandatory law.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability in cases of intent, gross negligence or personal injury, or the consumer’s rights under mandatory law.

12. Personal data

The processing of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy.

13. Governing law and disputes

Disputes should first be resolved through dialogue with us – contact our customer service at info@valaselection.se.

As a consumer, you have the right to refer a dispute to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN), Box 174, 101 23 Stockholm, www.arn.se. We follow ARN’s recommendations.

Disputes shall otherwise be decided by a Swedish court of general jurisdiction under Swedish law. For consumers, this applies subject to the limitations arising from mandatory law.
