Olives are harvested around Vela Luka on the island of Korčula in southern Croatia — a recognised PDO origin for olive oil. Ante, a third-generation olive grower on the island, oversees the harvest and pressing. Olives reach the mill within 8 hours of harvest and are cold-pressed immediately. The short handling time is critical to preserving polyphenol content. Polypolyphenol analysis is performed by HPLC at the University of Split after bottling.

What does 800+ mg/kg mean?

It is our guaranteed minimum per harvest. Our current batch, 2025-VL-MIR-001, measured at 1004 mg/kg by HPLC analysis at the University of Split. Standard supermarket olive oil contains 50–150 mg/kg.

What is EFSA eligibility?

The EU's food safety authority EFSA has authorised a specific health claim for olive oil with sufficient polyphenol content: that olive oil polyphenols contribute to the protection of blood lipids from oxidative stress. Our oil exceeds the threshold by a wide margin.

Why pre-order?

We bottle in limited batches direct from harvest. Pre-orders allow us to plan production and ensure the oil reaches you at the right time. Charged now, delivery June 2026, subject to minimum order volume being reached. Full refund if delivery cannot be fulfilled.
